MBABANE– After being in the music industry for more than a decade, Mzwandile ‘Psycho- Lution’, Nxumalo also known as Lution, will be officially launching his first album.

The album is titled ‘The Autonomy’ and will be launched at House on Fire on December 1, 2022.

When sought for comment on the album, Nxumalo said it took him 11 months to complete and had already had positive reviews during a listening session that was in October.

“The truth is it has taken me my whole life’s experience to have this album complete. I have been releasing Extended Play’s(EPs), Long Playing’s (LPs) and Mixtapes but this is my very first album yet fifth music project since 2009 and this album serves as a receipt of the ‘10 000 hours’ of making ,” said Nxumalo.

Nxumalo said ‘The Autonomy’ means the right to self-directing freedom, especially moral Independence and he named it that because the album resembles his music journey.

“I established ‘Lution Music’ in 2012, as an independent firm that would take care of my music needs and expressions after I finished my term as a label artist at Claiming Ground Records. That is the inspiration behind the title,” said Nxumalo.

Nxumalo said there were challenges in creating the album such as meeting deadlines.

“My team and I are very strict on meeting deadlines however sometimes things do not always go according to plan. What protects us, though, is that we never announce our deadlines to the world unless we are certain to avoid bad publicity,” said Nxumalo.

The rapper further mentioned that he wanted to urge creatives to read more, research more, seek knowledge, question and seek for answers to unanswered questions.

“We need to completely change our old way of thinking as we require new solutions to new problems instead of sticking to the status quo. Thinking outside the box will be critical in being able to unlearn, rebuild and evolve,” said Nxumalo.
