MBABANE – Former Deputy Prime Minister Themba Nhlanganiso Masuku has offered to show the way to the upcoming government.

Speaking shortly after casting his vote at Mbangweni KuMethula Inkhundla where he was the third person to do so said, the upcoming government and electorates should not shy away from seeking help and advice from them (former leaders)

Masuku said, as he is now a retired politician, his term in office having ended on September 27, 2023 he was willing to show the way.

“We are expecting new faces but loyal people who know Eswatini and its laws very well. The people we are electing today should be people of good character and not criminals,”said Masuku.

On a lighter note Masuku shared that he was the third person to cast a vote in his community.

“I must be getting old because two people came before me. I aimed to be the first one. However I have casted my vote and I hope everyone else chooses well. Happy voting to the nation,” he said.

Meanwhile, elections across the country seem to be going well as emaSwati went all out and showed up in the various voting stations.

Voting was seen in early hours at places like Mbekelweni Lutheran high school under Ludzeludze Inkhundla, Lobamba lomdzala inkhundla and many other polling stations.
