The Eswatini Biggest Braai is a fundraiser event, whose purpose is to accumulate funds to assist in Philani Maswati projects all over the country. Philani Maswati is a non-profit organization whose patron is Her Majesty Indlovukazi and its mission is to assist elderly people in the country.
After having been put on hold for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kingdom of Eswatini’s second-leading entertainment event is back on the street, and it will be hosted at Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre.
The Eswatini Biggest braai was launched on Thursday afternoon by Minister Mabulala Maseko, on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister.

This was also confirmed by Philani Maswati Chairperson MP Lutfo Dlamini, in an interview this morning.
Dlamini, who also serves as Ndzingeni Member of Parliament, explained that several sponsors have shown interest to support this year’s event. He disclosed that the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) had already sponsored the fundraiser by availing the Mavuso Sports Centre as a venue.
“This is the vehicle by which we invite the nation to put their hands together in championing the charity vision of helping the elderly needy whilst cementing family bonds corporate team building and customer relations,” he said.
He continued: “We aim t allow the nation’s young and old SMEs and giant corporations to co-exist. After COVID-19 and the problems we face as a country, we are saying let us look each other in the eye and thank God for keeping us alive so we can make the lives of the needy elderly a better one,”
“We appreciate Her Majesty for this vision to plough back. We welcome our old patrons and invite new ones,” he said.

In 2019, the event made headlines after attracting over 9 000 people who flocked the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre in Manzini.
Those who attended included different stakeholders and companies who simultaneously braai meat and enjoyed music from various performers.
The event kicked off at noon and most stakeholders had pitched their gazebos to market their brands and products.
