MANZINI- Gospel icon and award winning Dr Rebecca Malope ushered in the New Year with emaSwati.
This was during the ‘Yiba Nemusa Simakadze’ Holy Ghost party festival held at Mavuso trade centre. The rainy weather did not stop the throngs of emaSwati who had come to worship and praise the lord, for the year that was 2022.
Malope performed hit after hit, just like her state of emotions all her performances ended on a high. Clad in a red mullet skirt and a black top, paired with her signature haircut, the singer took gospel lovers on a spiritual journey.
Everyone got into their feelings when she performed her famous hit song ‘Moya wami’, everyone at the arena sang along.
People could not help but swoon over Rebecca and Linda Dlamini when they both took to stage holding hands and encouraging people to have a good time.
Other artists that performed yesterday and early this morning include Thina Zungu, Jumbo and France Dlamini.
Worth noting is that Local gospel artists thrilled at the showed and gave their outmost best, award winning gospel artist and affirmed showstopper Phathwakahle left people yearning for more.
She performed a number of her songs from her debut album ‘Sekonakele’. Clad in an all-white outfit, the hit maker did not allow the down pour of rain deter her spirits.
People in attendance praised organisers of the show for a well organised show despite the rains , the show was labelled one of the country’s best crossover shows.
