MBABANE: Local model Nompumelelo Matsebula will host a fashion show dubbed The Runway Revolution Fashion Show.

The fashion show will take place on April 6 at Malkerns Square.

The model (22), also known as Lelo Mkholo, is from Endlalambi under the Hhohho region. When reached for a comment, she said, “I came up with the name of the fashion show “The Runway Revolution” because it suggests a significant change or transformation happening within the fashion industry. It implies that the fashion show will showcase innovative and ground-breaking designs, challenging traditional norms and pushing boundaries.”

She went on to say, “It also signifies a shift towards inclusivity, diversity, sustainability, or any other progressive movement within the fashion world. Overall, the name conveys a sense of revolution and a departure from the ordinary, promising an exciting and transformative fashion experience. Now the question will be, How are you going to push boundaries, and the only way is through the Regional Art Centre?”

Matsebula was first recognised during an international fashion show in Namibia known as the Katutura Fashion Week fifth edition, which took place from November 24th to 25th, 2023, at the Franco Namibia Cultural Centre. She became a model in 2019 and qualified to become a professional international model in 2022 after having her first diploma in modelling.
