MBABANE– Eswatini Freelancers Welcomed to Join SAFREA, Signaling Growth in the Industry.

Unveiling a new gateway to success, Eswatini freelancers now have the opportunity to propel their careers forward as the South African Freelancers’ Association (SAFREA) opens its doors to them.

In a move that highlights the industry’s incredible growth, SAFREA appoints Nathi Gule as Regional Chairperson for the emerging regions, signalling its commitment to supporting freelancers in Eswatini and beyond.

In an exciting development for the freelance community in Eswatini, SAFREA, the renowned professional network and advocacy body, has officially extended an invitation to freelancers in the region. This significant move acknowledges the rapid growth and potential of the industry, making it an opportune time for Eswatini’s freelancers to tap into an array of resources, support, and networking opportunities offered by SAFREA.

The appointment of Nathi Gule as Chairperson for the emerging regions further solidifies SAFREA’s commitment to empowering freelancers in Eswatini and neighbouring areas. With Gule’s extensive experience in the industry, having worked as a freelance writer, television and editor for 2 decades. His appointment brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the position.

Gule will oversee the terms of membership and direction of the emerging region while reporting to the executive committee.  

Gule, filled with enthusiasm, states, “I am honoured to be entrusted with this responsibility and excited to lead the charge for freelancers in Eswatini. SAFREA has been a catalyst for professional growth and development for countless freelancers across various sectors, and I am committed to ensuring our Eswatini members can enjoy the same benefits.” He added that they held a couple of meetings as a committee. He said it is a very professional organization that aims for excellence.

The regional chairperson argued SAFREA offers a wide range of benefits to its members, including access to a vast network of industry professionals, exclusive job opportunities, professional development workshops, and legal support. By officially welcoming freelancers from Eswatini, SAFREA aims to foster a stronger sense of community among freelancers while equipping them with the tools and resources necessary for success.

Gule said that he joined SAFREA 3 years ago because he felt that he would not grow if he did not belong to a professional entity. He added that freelancers are the backbone of the communications industry in the region and beyond.

Freelancers from the Southern African region who speak English enjoy the benefits of working with global entities. Eswatini deserve a supportive platform that connects them with like-minded individuals and opportunities to expand their careers, by extending our reach to Eswatini, we aim to amplify the freelancer voice and provide a collective platform for growth and advocacy, said Gule
