SEDCO ENTREPRENEUR MAGAZINE LAUNCHED

MBABANE – The long-awaited book is now available at SEDCO offices in Mbabane, Manzini, Nhlangano and Pigg’s Peak.

Yesterday, the Chief Executive Officer of Small Enterprises Development, Khetsiwe Mhlanga, introduced their new book titled ‘The Entrepreneur’ during the press conference of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

According to SEDCO social media page, Mhlanga mentioned that the Magazine will serve as a roadmap for both aspiring and existing entrepreneurs by providing insight on key topics such as business planning, access to finance, taxation, business incubation, digital transformation to list a few.

She added that their mission is to provide entrepreneurship development interventions for MSMEs through establishing integrated support systems and the Global Entrepreneurship Week aims to empowers nascent entrepreneurs and those facing systemic barriers to starting and scaling their own company. Through the GEW, the focus will be on four distinct theme areas to spotlight impactful voices and organisations.

The MSME is an acronym for Micro, Small, Medium, Enterprises. It is widely acknowledged for its unique contribution to the economic development of the Kingdom of Eswatini.

“The aim is to establish a highly energized MSMEs sector that is characterized by innovative, competitive and sustainable enterprises. Accordingly, we are pleased to introduce a new publication. This issue presents fundamental insights into entrepreneurship including in-depth information and advice on starting and building a sustainable Enterprise in Eswatini. The publication is free so that everyone can have access to it. It also provides practical guidance regarding MSME business recovery post-COVID-19 pandemic, sources of finance for business start-up and expansion as well as understanding of taxation and compliance” statement of the CEO in the Magazine.

Speaking to SEDCO Corporate Communication Officer, Zamantolo Fakudze, she shared that the magazine will help so many young entrepreneurs especially the starting business.

Mhlanga also revealed that this week is dedicated to celebrating young aspiring entrepreneurs and on the 17th of November which is on Thursday there will be an on-going flea market in Mbabane Market in joint with Mbabane Municipality, Industrial Development Company of Eswatini [IDCE] and the Financial Management Company.

The participates [MSMEs] are mainly from Mbabane and SEDCO incubates. The training on courses of business failure for 50 seedlings fund beneficiaries planned for 16 to 18 November 2022.
