MBABANE – The Small Enterprises Development Company (SEDCO) has been providing digital marketing training to agricultural cooperatives to help them reach potential customers and conduct online sales.
This initiative aims to equip small and medium enterprises with the skills and strategies they need to succeed in the digital age. SEDCO believes that these skills will enable the cooperatives to be more competitive and sustainable.
According to the organisation’s Facebook page, the training initiative is part of their project with the International Trade Centre and European Union in Eswatini, and it is an essential component of their commitment to support small and medium enterprises in the area of e-commerce. The organisation emphasised its dedication to providing the MSMEs with the necessary skills and resources to enable them to thrive in the digital age.
The training included assisting the cooperatives in setting up Facebook business pages, which would serve as a platform for showcasing and advertising their agricultural products. The objective of this exercise was to enable the cooperatives to expand their reach and attract new customers. The training was conducted in the third person.
