SENANI MAMBA FOR 2023 MANDELA WASHINGTON FELLOWS

MBABANE- The U.S. Embassy in Eswatini has announced that Senani Mamba has been selected as one of the 2023 Mandela Washington Fellows.

According to the Embassy, Mamba is currently studying Leadership in Civic Engagement at Florida Gulf Coast University, and her selection for this prestigious fellowship is well-deserved recognition of her dedication and expertise in sustainable development and project management.

It is said that Mamba has over five years of experience in the field, and has demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the lives of the youth and women in Eswatini through economic participation and increasing market access.

According to the Embassy, Mamba’s impressive academic background includes a Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, which she obtained through sponsorship from the MasterCard Foundation.

“Her passion for development is evident in her drive to see tangible results from her projects and the impact they have on the lives of the people they serve. She is motivated by the belief that sustainable development can be achieved by actively engaging communities, increasing the value of their products, accessing trade opportunities, and linking research to social endeavours, “ stated the Embassy.

It continued: “The U.S. Embassy in Eswatini extends warm congratulations to Senani Mamba on this remarkable achievement and wishes her every success during her program in Florida. Her selection as a Mandela Washington Fellow reflects not only her capabilities but also the potential of Eswatini’s youth in contributing to the country’s sustainable development. Senani serves as an inspiration to aspiring leaders and change-makers, and her dedication to making a positive impact is commendable.
