Motsa was unveiled on Saturday (May 25, 2024) at the live recording which took place at Sunset Arena, Time Square, this past Saturday.

She captivated the audience with her two original compositions, titled ‘Bhodla Ngwenyama’ and ‘Ngcwele,’ showcasing her talent and prowess as a gospel performer. The crowd’s response to her performance was overwhelming, as they cheered and applauded her powerful vocals and emotional delivery.

In an interview with this publication, Motsa shared her joy and gratitude, saying, “It was definitely one of the best days of my life. I am very happy about this chapter, and all praise is to God, who does beautiful things in his own time. I would also like to thank the good people at Spirit Music Group who have opened this platform for me and many others before. May their work continue to prosper.”

Motsa went on to express her amazement at the opportunity, saying, “It is not every day that you get to work with such amazing artists and learn directly from them, and the message is simply that the name of the Lord must be lifted up for his glory, and his glory alone.”

It is worth noting that Motsa is not the first Swazi Gospel artist to join Spirit of Praise but follows in the footsteps of other well-known artists in the country. This includes Nothando Hlophe.

Mpumi Mtshweni took to Facebook to extend her congratulations to Motsa, stating, “Hey! Sheky Motsa, well done! Eswatini is proud of you. You did so well for yourself, and I love you.” Mtshweni’s touching message highlights the strong sense of fellowship and support among gospel artists, a sentiment that is heart-warming to see.

Motsa joined a stellar line-up of gospel artists who each contributed their unique compositions to the night’s festivities, which included renowned artists like Benjamin Dube, Dumi Mkokstad, Takie Ndou, Thinah Zungu, Omega Khunou, Mpumi Mtshweni, Canaan Nyathi, Mmatema Moremi, Xolisa Kwinana, Ndumiso Zungu (new addition), Everton Mlalazi (Zimbabwe new addition), and Teboho. Each of these artists added their own distinctive flair to the already impressive roster of performers.

The album is expected to be released in September this year. In August just a month before the album’s launch, fans will be treated to the release of the first single.
