MBABANE – With Sidwashini United, currently trading as Seven Dreams, crowned the 2023/24 MTN National First Division champions, they are ready to beef up their for their camping in the elite league.
Sidwashini United was crowned champions after playing a 1-all draw against Malanti Chiefs on Sunday at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground. They were presented with the MTN National First Division trophy and a E180 000 cheque.
Speaking to this publication, Sidwashini United Public Relations Officer (PRO) Thabiso Manyatsi said that for now, their focus was on their championship celebrations.
“With the 2023/24 campaign being recently concluded, we are just focused on celebrating the league’s glory,” Manyatsi stated.
In addition, Manyatsi further elaborated that they would be making few additions in their squad. “We will definitely look at our squad weaknesses and make a few additions to boost the squad. We recruited most of our players during our super league campaign, so we will bring in few experienced players,” he added.
Sidwashini United ended the 2023/24 season with 55 points, followed by Sisonkhe with 49 which guaranteed them silverware and automatic promotion to top flight football.
