MBABANE – The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) have secured E124 000 water sponsorship from Emlembe Beverages that will benefit the senior men’s team, Sihlangu and the senior women’s team, Sitsebe.
The sponsorship was launched on Wednesday with EFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Mngomezulu and Emlembe Beverages Managing Director Jordan Levendale signing the agreement.
Sihlangu is in camp at the Technical Centre, Lobamba where they are already benefiting from this kind gesture. The Dominic Kunene led side is preparing for the coming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers matches against Angola and Mauritius on June 7 and 10 respectively. The team is also expected to compete in the Council of Southern African Football Association (COSAFA) to be held in South Africa before end of June.
Sitsebe is also expected to compete in the COSAFA Senior Women Challenge to be held later this year.
Emlembe Beverages Managing Director Jordan Levendale said the sponsorship will help both teams to perform at their level best as they will stay dehydrated. He said they were happy as a company to be part of the sport loved by many.
“We believe that with this sponsorship, the teams will be able to achieve their dreams,” he said.
EFA CEO Frederick Mngomezulu said Emlembe Beverages showed the love of the country and the national teams by being among the first to purchase the new replicas that were launched early this month.
“We are confident that we are going to take this brand internationally as that is where Sihlangu and Sitsebe compete. We are happy to have companies that assist in the development of football and this will go a long in assisting the teams to perform at the highest level,” he said.
The sponsorship is for a year and renewable.
