MBABANE – As the 2023/24 season was concluded over the past weekend, Sabelo ‘Skhali’ Ndzinisa’s remarkable performance throughout the campaign has earned him a Golden Boot award that has a E12 000 prize tag.
Ndzinisa’s relentless pursuit of goals saw him netting a total of 20 goals this season, making him the top scorer in the league. According to the 2023/24 MTN Premier League breakdown released by the Premier League of Eswatini on Monday (May 20, 2024), the Golden Boot Award carries a weight of E12 000.
The best player in the season will take home E15 000 and he is still yet to be announced during the prize presentation. The best goalkeeper, best coach will each pocket E10 000 with the best referee getting E7 000 and E5 000 for the best Public Relations Officer (PRO).
Ndzinisa’s performances this season have not only earned him accolades but have also cemented his status as one of the country’s best-performing strikers.
He also scooped the top goal scorer award worth E10 000 in the recently ended Ingwenyama Cup. Before scoring in the final, he scored a goal in all the six games they played in the Ingwenyama Cup tournament, equalling to 7 games in the competition.
His exceptional performance throughout the season helped Green Mamba secure a second-place finish in the 2023/24 league, where he netted a single goal in Green Mamba’s 4-0 win over Mbabane Highlanders in their final match.
Mbabane Swallows being the champions will take home E1 million with second-placed Green Mamba getting E500 000.
