SIPHOFANENI NGO COMES THROUGH FOR THE POOR

MBABANE – A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has embarked on an act of helping poor people in Siphofaneni and other areas in the country.

Sigcinakwetfu Foundation is based in Siphofaneni Constituency and the NGO was established in November last year, with an intention of helping poor people. Sigcinakwetfu Foundation Chairman Gcina Mvimbi Dlamini said many people were leaving under poor conditions in Siphofaneni and other areas of the country.

Dlamini said his mission was to help Government by enabling the poor people in this country to at least have access to basic needs, such as food, shelter, good health, clean water, clothing, education, among other needs. He said at the moment, he was still looking for donors to sponsor his initiative.

Since November 2023, he has been providing food parcels to elderly and poor people, who appreciated what he did for them. He said he was working with some other residents of the area, whom he did not want to reveal for now. He made the donations from his pocket at the moment.

The organisation has a page on Facebook, where it records its activities. Dlamini said people were free to view the activities of the foundation and see what it was all about. Dlamini said the organisation was based in Siphofaneni and was intending to help everyone in the country that was in need, but what was needed as a matter of urgency was financial assistance. He said anyone who was willing to help was welcome to call 7648 7991.

He said the number belonged to Nhlanhla Mashaba, who was the spokesperson of the organisation. Mashaba also confirmed that he was the spokesperson of the foundation. Dlamini said they were still working on getting a number that would belong to the organisation, which would also be used when people wanted to help. He said the NGO also wanted people in the country to embrace the Eswatini Law and Customs and the general SiSwati way of life
