MBABANE– Siphofaneni is bringing new talent with heart-rendering hits.
Musician and Poet Bless, real name Sibusiso Shongwe, from Phonjwane under Siphofaneni Inkhundla, is releasing a new single ‘Imetamo’.
Shongwe shares his musical journey with this reporter saying he started writing and recording back in 2018.
“I would use my cell phone which was a ‘Voloco’ with my friend LorvenSky.
“I was inspired by a local artist ‘Bad Relief’ with whom I had the pleasure of working with on two occasions. He is a good rapper with potential that is why we worked with him on ‘Way Up’ and ‘Second Chance’ remix around last year,” said Shongwe.
Shongwe further mentioned that he was grateful to God and his fans for their support.
“Whenever I am taking a shower, a walk or just become depressed by a certain situation, I always trust God to handle that for me. I always thank Him for all He has done for me as well as my fans for their love and unwavering support.
“I have performed at many stages in the country. In 2019 I was the only rapper performing at the ‘Koze Kuse Entrance’ said the rapper and poet.
Shongwe also mentioned that his mother was his number one supporter and she was the inspiration to this single.
“My mother Khanyisile Nkhonyane used to motivate me a lot and made it a point to remind me she was my number one fan. She would motivate me and remind me of how talented I am and not to give up on my dreams.
“The song ‘Imetamo’ serves as a reminder of the promise I made to her to change the situation back home. It is a collaboration with Chaboy and Richboy. It speaks about life’s challenges whilst waiting for their spot on the big stages.
“The single is a collaboration with Chaboy and Richboy and talks about his life, the challenges he has faced, trying to change situation back at home and some motivation to upcoming artists,” said the rapper.
The artist further revealed all the people who worked on producing the single.
“The song was produced by BadRelief at Ejal’dini Records. It was mixed and mastered by Tn$ Savvy, who has also produced for some well-known artist like Diba Diba & LadySphesh and Wise Eagle. “Imetamo is available on YouTube channel or Facebook page ‘Bless Music’. It is on Audiomack, SoundCloud andYouTube,” said the artist.
