MBABANE – Umuthi Fest is bringing in the ‘big guns’ for the first edition of the festival!
South African Singer, Rapper, and Actor Sjava, as well as vocalist and songwriter Lwa Ndlunkulu, have been unveiled on Phase One of the line-up for the upcoming Umuthi Fest. It is worth mentioning that more artists, including locals, are yet to be unveiled in the build-up to the first edition of the festival.
The festival will be held on April 18, 2024, at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, Outdoor Arena.
Sjava, born Jabulani Hadebe, hails from Begville in the Kwazulu Natal Province of South Africa. He is a proud Zulu singer and the epitome of true artistry. Lwa Dlunkulu, born Lwandile Mtshali, also hails from the same KwaZulu Natal Province of South Africa. She is signed under Nkabi Records and she is also known as the Nkabination First Lady.
The first phase line-up was released yesterday, and some today. Some of the artists who have been announced so far are Blaq Diamond, Carrency, and Diba Diba.
Afro-pop duo Blaq Diamond has partnered with Megasound Events for the first edition of Umuthi Fest. Umuthi is a record label and movement founded by Blaq Diamond following their musical journey. Zulu D of Megasound Events confirmed with this publication that the duo from SA have partnered with them for the first edition of the festival.
In a previous interview with the publication, he said, “Umuthi Records has partnered with us to do the Umuthi Fest. They will bring their friends from SA—at least four to five big acts. They are set for April 18 at the Mavuso outdoor arena.”
Tickets to the festival are already available at Computicket. Presale general is E150; VIP is E400. Tickets at the gate will cost E200.
