MBABANE – For the next three months, Solanis hang-out spot is going to be bringing three music icons.
The music greats are Zonke, Kelly Khumalo and Shekhina they are laid out from August, September and October.
Taking to their social media pages yesterday, Solanis, who started as the gig guide, is Shekinah who will be in the country on August 26, 2023.
Shekhinah Thandi Donnell born in October 1994), known mononymously as Shekhinah, is a singer-songwriter from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Shekhinah was among the Top 32 of M-Net’s Season 7 of SA Idols in 2011 and among the Top 6 of Season 8 of SA Idols in 2012.
Her debut album Rose Gold was released in October 2017 and certified platinum by RiSA in August 2018. Rose Gold produced three number-one singles: Suited; Please Mr. and Different. Her second album Trouble In Paradise, was released in May 2021.
Meanwhile, Kelly Khumalo will be coming to the country on September 30, 2023. Having been in the country a couple of times, there is no guess that the singer will once again pack the arena and deliver her best.
Kelly Nonhlanhla Khumalo is a South African singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. Born in Vosloorus and later moved to Nquthu, KwaZulu-Natal, where she grew up.
She was discovered while performing at a gospel talent search and signed a record deal with Bonsai Entertainment, releasing her debut studio album T.K.O (2005).
She shot to fame after the release of her debut album T.K.O (2005). She was named the Best Newcomer of 2005 in the Afro-Pop music circuit. The Past, The Present, The Future album was released on 5 November 2012. In May 2013, She scooped the award at the 19th South African Music Awards.
Khumalo’s ninth album The Voice of Africa (2020), incorporated elements of R&B, gospel and Afro-pop. The album was certified gold in South Africa.
The iconic Zonke Dikana will grace Eswatini for the third time on October 28, 2023. Dikana is well known for her vocals and award winning singles and Albums.
Zonke Dikana, known simply as Zonke, is a South African singer-songwriter and record producer.
Her rise to stardom came in 2011 following the release of her third album, Ina Ethe, which was certified double platinum and was nominated at the 18th South African Music Awards.
In 2013, she recorded and released Give and Take Live, which was certified gold just two months after its release and earned her a place in the Channel O list of “Africa’s Top 10 Female Singing Sensations September 2015, Zonke released Work of Heart, her fifth album, to critical acclaim with nominations in several categories at the 15th Metro FM Music Awards and 22nd South African Music Awards.
She signed a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment in 2013. On 15 June 2018, she released L.O.V.E, her fifth studio album, with Sony.
