… A series of shows to be hosted on Mondays

MBABANE – Popular hang-out spot, Solanis, will be having a Mogodu Mondays launch which will mark the beginning of their festive season.
The launch and festive season has already begun at Solanis as of today.
South Africa’s Amapiano artis, Visca, will be headlining the launch.
Entertainment Organiser at Solanis, Sebanele ‘Dope Deep’ Xaba, confirmed the show, saying the song ‘Ba Straata’, which is a collaboration by DJ Maphorisa and Visca, was one of the current hit songs.
“The song is what is making waves right now. The album itself is a hit so it makes sense to bring the artist for a performance here at Solanis,” said Xaba.
The entertainment organiser further mentioned that above everything else, they were introducing their Mogodu Mondays.
“Mogodu Mondays is a lifestyle in South Africa and a trending one at that. We wanted to introduce it here in Eswatini where there would be traditional meals coupled with live music performances,” said Xaba.
Xaba further revealed that Solanis would be having different South African artists gracing the stage every Mondays throughout the festive season until January 2, 2023.
“We have a lot planned for the festive season. We are planning a crossover event as well so it will be a busy time for us. However I cannot divulge too much information right now but we will also be having events for Saturdays as well,” said the entertainment organiser.
According to Google, the song ‘Ba Straata’ is a song by Visca and DJ Maphorisa. The song was released last month and has received more than 1.7 million views on YouTube as well as a trending dance move for it.
Visca, real name Vusi Molapo is a South African DJ, Remixer and producer. He joined DJ Maphorisa’s independent label ‘New Money Gang’. Visca has produced for various artists including DJ Sue, DJ Mbuso and Tumelo Ruele. His first biggest feature was on Kabza de Small’s EP “Pretty girls Love Amapiano”.
