MBABANE- SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini, in partnership with the DPM’s office, has celebrated another successful certification of a group of parents.
However, this accomplishment was not the only cause for celebration. The organization also dedicated its efforts to investing in its employees’ leadership and management capacity building.
According to the organization the purpose of this development is clear: to train SOS leaders and managers to take ownership of their roles and the tasks required of them.
It was stated that by doing so, they can develop and manage people in new and innovative ways, ultimately tackling broader societal issues and understanding how leaders contribute to them. Additionally, this capacity building aims to develop emotional intelligence to effectively handle different situations.
The SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini is strongly motivated by its strategy for 2030, which prioritizes talent management. It involves a continuous process of attracting and retaining high-quality employees, developing their skills, and constantly motivating them to improve their performance.
In recognition of the importance of training and equipping their leaders and managers, SOS Children’s Villages Eswatini initiated a comprehensive Leadership and Management Training Programme. This programme covers various functions within the organization and focuses on honing the skills necessary for effective leadership and management.
The Village added that the training programme acknowledges that SOS employees are arguably the most vital asset of the organization. With this in mind, it becomes crucial to invest in their growth and development. By enhancing their leadership and management skills, SOS can ensure its employees are well-equipped to provide the highest quality care to the children in their care.
SOS Children’s Villages continues to prioritize the well-being of its employees and recognizes the value of their role in making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
As SOS Children’s Villages continues its journey towards Strategy 2030, the organization remains dedicated to its employees and the invaluable impact they have on the lives of children. By investing in its leadership and management capacity, SOS is setting a solid foundation for the future of the organization and the well-being of the children it serves.
