PIGG’S PEAK – You can now buy cheap and affordable groceries and beverages in Pigg’s Peak.
This comes after the official opening of SPAR and TOPs in the Pigg’s Peak Mini Mall today. Previously, the town had only three giant retailers; Boxers Stores, Shoprite, and LuckSave. However, the opening of SPAR will give consumers here more choice on where to buy.
Speaking during the official opening of SPAR, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Mancoba Khumalo observed that the tiny town up north was gradually developing, and the new kid on the block will mark growth and development to the country’s development.
This publication has gathered the opening of the shops has also brought employment to at least 82 Emaswati from Pigg’s Peak.
“I am proud to announce that the Spar and Tops have already made a positive impact on this community of Pigg’s Peak. Through their establishment, they have created numerous employment opportunities,” said Khumalo.
Present during the official opening was Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Appolo Maphalala represented by the Principal Secretary, Dr Simon Zwane, Pigg’s Peak MP, Jabulani Mabuza
Minister Khumalo said the opening of the retail shops was the beginning of a promising journey for the town.
