MBABANE – “No one should be left behind.”

This was posted by the Elections and Boundaries Commission on their official social media page today when referencing the 2023 Primary Elections Special Voting Excersise today.

In Manzini, special soting is currently ongoing at Prince Mfanyana Hall at Manzini Central High School, at Divine Healing Ministry, and at St Michael’s High School.

Explaining the need for the special voting excersise, EBC Communications Officer Mbonisi Bhembe explained that the special voting was to cater for those Emaswati who would not be able to vote on the day because they will be working on the elections or providing other essential services.

“Others who will be eligible to vote in the elections are inmates, as per the law which states that everyone has a right to vote except those who have a life sentence,” added Bhembe.

Others who will be voting today include absentees who are currently expats in other countries.

Special voting is expected to go on until 5PM.
