MBABANE – “Visiting Eswatini was never high on my bucket list. How utterly foolish of me.”

The above sentiments were shared by highly sought after Speech Therapists based in Nigeria and sometimes United Kingdom (UK), Speechie Africa.

She shared this during her visit in the country where her travel blog and instagram platform, the therapist praised Eswatini for its warm welcome and lovely service. She said she will be recommending Eswatini to her colleagues and home country UK.

“I’m not going to lie: visiting Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) was a box-ticking exercise. Landlocked between South Africa and Mozambique, this dot on the map offered me an opportunity to tick off another country in my list,” she said.

Since then her page has been filled with pictures of her exploring the country, the places she visited included Sugar View Malelane and her last stop Hlane Royal National Park. In all the aforementioned places she spent a night.

Worth noting is that Speechie Africa was in the company of her husband, she has since put Eswatini on top of the search bar, of countries to visit and look out for.

When approached for a comment Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) Head of Marketing Sbusiso Madlopha said this was good news. He explained that any form of tourism for the country was good news.

“Tourism represents one of the main engines of growth for the world economy. In recent years, the tourism industry has gained great weight in the world economy. With the advance of globalization, the number of tourists has shot up year-on-year in recent years, interfering with a clear improvement in the sector, as well as in the quality of service. The transit of people, as well as the great tourist offer and the professionalization of the sector, has turned it into one of the fundamental pillars of the economy in Eswatini.” He said.
