MBABANE– Mawuena Geyevu!
This is the young woman with an Eswatini upbringing, who has graced South African screens with her refreshing beauty by appearing on daily drama Durban Gen.
Known to be located in Durban, the drama is about a hospital, its staff, patients, and the drama surrounding them.
The former St Mark’s pupil has been making a consistent appearance on the dramatic since last week.
The Eswatini Positive News (EPN) desk had a brief opportunity to talk to her and this is what she told us:
How did you lend the Durban Gen gig?
A friend of mine Lungelo Buthelezi sent me an audition script he had received from Mizan Agency. I recorded and sent it back to him and he sent it to the agency. Mizan called me and said the production company is requesting I come in for another live audition. I went, they liked me, and a week later Mizan called to inform me that I got the role.
How did you get into acting?
I’ve always wanted to be an actor. I had promised myself that after my Master’s Degree, I’ll go hard into finding gigs. So I’ve basically been on the lookout for auditions and attending whatever I can.
What roles have you played?
I’m currently shooting a web series by Uyanda Msomi called The_Edge. I play the role of Liyana. I’ve also shot a movie called The Encounter where I was the main character, I played the role of Buhle.
What are your future plans?
I intend to do more and more roles but that also means being available for auditions. I also intend to be in movies too possibly internationally. The sky is the limit right?
