MBABANE– Celebrated Hip Hop DJ Supa CDQ will be opening up for South African rapper Stogie T.
This Wed revealed in the official MTN Bushfire line up and time slots for each act.
Supa CDQ will be performing on Saturday on the main stage. He will be followed up by the decorated musician and rapper Stogie T.
Linda Dlamini, popularly known by his stage name Supa CDQ, expressed his happiness. He said for him being on the main stage during the MTN Bushfire is one of his greatest achievements so far.
He further said opening up for Stogie T also marks a different era in his career.
“I’m looking forward to my performance and opening up for Stogie T. I cannot wait to thrill and do what I do best,” said the Disk Jockey briefly.
CDQ started deejaying in 2014, a year later after he fell in love with music. He has been a regular nightlife feature in popular hangout spots and clubs based in Mbabane, Ezulwini, Matsapha and MANZINI. He has also performed outside the country.
His brand has become popular with events like Durban July and South Africa clubs to name a few.
He once managed to secure himself a part-time residency at Mbabane’s number one hangout spot Solani’s as a hip hop DJ.
He has also managed to secure himself bookings alongside South Africa’s big acts as an opening act for the likes of Riky Rick; Sjava; Dladla Mshunqisi and Emtee just to name a few.
Supa CDQ has been garnering enthusiastic response and praise for his ever-hyped and musical hip-hop sets, therefore, getting bookings every weekend to entertain music lovers at different venues.
According to the internet Stogie T, born Tumi Molekane is a Tanzanian-born South African rapper and poet.
He was the lead vocalist of Tumi and the Volume, which was officially disbanded in 2012. In 2016 Tumi relaunched himself as Stogie T and released an eponymous album titled ‘Stogie T’ which featured Da L.E.S, Lastee, Emtee, Nasty C, Nadia Nakai and Yanga. He has two singles from the album.
The first single ‘Diamond Walk’ features rapper Nadia Nakai in the video. His second single from the album By Any Means which features a hook and verses from Emtee and Yanga.
