MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows may be crowned the champions of the 2023/24 MTN Premier League, if they win their game against Ezulwini United on Saturday at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre. The game is supposed to kick-off at 3pm.
A win for the red and white outfit will see them crowned champions, but if they settle for a draw or lose, they will have to wait for the results for defending champions Green Mamba, who play Rangers at Tambankulu Stadium on the same day.
Mbabane Swallows are top of the table on 49 points, while Green Mamba is second with 44 points, with only two games remaining before the season ends.
Mbabane Swallows are from a 3-2 win over rivals, Mbabane Highlanders and they have made Mkhuzweni Technical Centre their slaughter house, since they started playing their home matches there.
All the seven MTN Premier League games would be played on Saturday at different venues, with kick-off being 3pm.
The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) released Week 25 of the MTN Premier League fixtures with the biggest game between Manzini Wanderers and Mbabane Highlanders billed for King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium. Manzini Wanderers are fighting to survive relegation.
Moneni Pirates and Denver Sundowns who are also not safe from the axe would play Illovo and Nsingizini Hotspurs at KaLanga Technical Centre and Mayaluka Stadium respectively.
The MTN National First Division action also continues on Saturday and Sunday.
