MBABANE– Swazi Boy has officially launched the Kasi Tour to uncover, capacitate, and reward talent Eswatini.

The launch happened today at OK Foods Kwaluseni, where Swazi Boy and its partners unpacked the details of the talent scouting tour across Eswatini neighborhoods. Speaking during the launch, Swazi Boy Entertainment Manager Shadow Zwane explained that the Kasi Tour was all about promoting the best talent in Eswatini, as well as encouraging the public to vaccinate in order to avoid the possibilities of a deadly wave of COVID-19.

The winners of the Kasi Tour will be rewarded with laptops, recording studios, recording deals, tablets, and lots of other prizes.

“This is a two-way campaign. One side focuses on talent identification, and the other side focuses on the health sector,” said Zwane.

“I’m excited to announce the launch of the Kasi Tour, which will in itself launch the career of our talented youth into greater heights. Ladies and gentlemen, we as Swazi Boy Entertainment have many years in the industry, working with different artists and clients to provide quality entertainment. We have noticed a gap in the nurturing of raw talent, and refining it into stardom. We are trying to fill the gaps, and all we ask is that the youth come out to represent their kasis, which is townships all over the country,” said Zwane.

He further encouraged not to shy away but to take the chance by registering for the competition because there is no telling what it could lead to.

“We plead with vicarious Emaswati to get vaccinated. We have seen how the lockdown affected our industry. If I’m not mistaken we stayed 18 months without being able to work. So, we encourage Emaswati, especially the people in the arts, to get vaccinated so that we don’t have any other lockdowns ever again with regards to COVID-19. We encourage everyone to invite their family and friends to get vaccinated,” added Zwane.

Zwane’s sentiments were echoed by supporting speakers during the launch, which included representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Kwaluseni inkhundla, PACT, and USAID. These organisations are also sponsoring partners of the Kasi Tour, in order to promote good health.

More details about registrations and tour dates will be announced in due course, as Zwane explained. The judges of the competition were revealed to be Sandz, poet Betfusile “Beezae” Mamba, Dj Bobo of EBIS, Young Zesh, and Kena, who are both renowned artists.
