MBABANE– Swazi Boy Entertainment’s Mthunzi ‘Shadow’ Zwane has penned down a touching message to the late SA rapper AKA and his former manager Tibz.

AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, and Tibzshowlove, real name Tebello Motsoane, passed on Friday evening after being shot to death outside a restaurant in Durban.

Shadow took to his social media page yesterday to mourn the loss of the two entertainers.

“I’ve been meaning to write about these two great gentlemen, AKA and Tibz Showlove.

“You know life is very fragile. We have never booked AKA because we always work on a shoestring budget but the influence this young man had on my first love Hip hop in the African continent is huge,” said Zwane.

Zwane further mentioned that it was only right to pay tribute to the icon and also to his family.

“As entertainment stables, it is right we have to pay tribute to him and his Megacy (fans) and most importantly his parents and his beautiful daughter Kairo,” said Zwane.

Zwane also mentioned that Tibz was not popular but had a major influence in the hip-hop space.

“Tebellolo aka Tibz is not popular but his influence in the hip hop space is as big as Lindelani Mkhize in gospel circle. He was a quiet gent who came across as arrogant but was actually far from it. Mostly he was usually surveying the whole room and studying what he needs to do next.

“I never worked with him either but his work made me sit up and notice how he impacted the hip-hop culture.

“All I’m trying to say here is we lost the good ones who worked hard to give us good music and a lifestyle to live on the weekends where we relieve stresses. I am paying my respect to these two icons who will never be forgotten and ask that God please receive their souls and Jesus welcome them at the pearly gates.”

Meanwhile, AKA’s former partner and mother of his child, DJ Zinhle is the headliner at the Eswatini House Musiq Festival.

The fourth edition of the event is slated for March 25, 2023, at Manzini Club.

The exciting and much anticipated phase 1 line-up was released yesterday by Swazi Boy Entertainment.

Other performers set to perform at the event include DJ Ntshebe, The Bishops, DJ Fantasy, and Orthodox.
