MBABANE – The better part of yesterday and today was abuzz with excitement thanks to the award-winning Symphony’s new single.
Titled ‘I’m Available’ the gospel-infused song is more like a diary session between Symphony and God.
The seven-minute-long song sees the soulful singer pour her out heart and declare that she is intending to be available as a sacrifice to God.
“Necessity is laid upon, I’m fully submitting my life, I fully surrender to righteousness, my life is not my own. I’m available oh God. Here I’m, I’m available,” goes the lyrics in her song.
In this song, Symphony describes availability as having an eternal perspective rather than a temporal perspective.
She sings about her availability and how it has caused her to think less about herself and more about God and His purpose in her life.
In-depth the song also implies that people can get so caught up in scheduling their lives, creating priorities, and living for their plans that they are often unaware of what God is doing.
The chorus and outro of the song emphasised that being available means adjusting priorities, agenda, and plans to fit God’s priorities, agenda and plans. It means making personal priorities secondary to God’s and others.
From the whole song that is currently streaming across all streaming platforms, it can be concluded that availability means submitting your time, talents and resources to God. It means taking steps in obedience even when it costs you. It means putting God’s ways of living as a priority over your own desires.
When speaking more about the song Symphony revealed that she hoped the song ministers to her fans as much as it has ministered to her.
“It took so many years to finally get it recorded but it is finally here. I’m excited about the journey God is taking me on and I pray this song ministers to you as it has ministered to me over the years,” she said.
Symphony worked with an entire team to see this song through, from bass, drum and backup singers to the art cover work which was put together by Mbulelo Photography.
Symphony is a singer from Eswatini, her sound is neo-soul and has gospel influences. She released her debut album ‘Sengikhona’ in 2018.
She is the winner of the 2017 MTN Bushfire Firefly Storm and performed at the 11th edition of The MTN Bushfire Festival.
In 2015 she entered the TT55 talent search competition and made it to the finals. She became the 2016 KFC/SIBUKO Sesive brand ambassador for Swaziland’s 48th independence promotions. Symphony was among the winners of the 2017 MTN SWAMA awards for her EP ‘Sengikhona’.
