MBABANE – The Taiwan Embassy in Eswatini has announced that it will be celebrating International Women’s Day next week Wednesday (March 6th, 2024) with a conference that is set to be unique and innovative.
The Embassy announced that the conference will feature insightful speeches and panel discussions on how to promote the economic sustainability of women, which is aligned with the theme of ‘Investing in Women, Accelerating Progress.
The conference will be an opportunity to highlight, connect with, and inspire women from all walks of life and various cooperative partners. The Embassy noted that it is of utmost importance to recognize and celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in Eswatini.
The Embassy stated that it will be collaborating with the Eswatini Government, the U S Embassy in Eswatini, the European Union (EU) in Eswatini, the UN in Eswatini, and the UNFPA in Eswatini to hold the conference in early March under the Global Cooperation & Training Framework (GCTF), a cooperation mechanism led by Taiwan, the United States, Japan, and Australia.
The Embassy stressed the importance of gender equality and emphasized the need to recognize and honor the outstanding accomplishments of women in Eswatini.
