TAIWAN SCHOLARSHIPS UP FOR GRABS FOR EMASWATI

MBABANE – EmaSwati have been afforded an opportunity to study towards Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD degrees in the Republic of China in Taiwan.

The Minister of Labour and Social Security and the Scholarship Department have announced the 2024 International Higher Education Scholarships and the 2024 Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Scholarship from the Republic of China (Taiwan) for emaSwati students who are interested in studying towards undergraduate, Masters, and PhD degrees are now available.

The announcement was made today by the ministry on their Facebook page. It is worth mentioning that the deadline for applying for the two different scholarships offered is March 16 and 31, 2024, respectively.

To qualify for the International Higher Education Scholarship, applicants should

  • Should be a liSwati (proof will be needed).
  • Applicants must have completed high school (provide a copy of their high school certificates).
  • Those applying for Masters and PhDs need to provide the highest-level diploma or academic transcripts. (authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
  • Provide two letters of reference.

The scholarship is a full scholarship by Taiwan IDCF and will cover

  • Tuition costs
  • Accommodation costs
  • Textbooks costs
  • Direct round-trip Economic class ticket.

Interested applicants can visit https://web.icdf.org.tw/icdff_tsp/welcomestart.aspx. To complete an online application. The completed forms should be submitted by March 15, 2024, at 4 p.m. at the ROC Taiwan Embassy.

For the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Taiwan Scholarship

Applicants need to meet these criteria as follows:

  • Should be liSwati (proof will be required).
  • Applicants must have completed high school (provide a copy of their high school certificates).
  • Masters and PhD applicants are required to provide the highest-level diploma and academic transcripts (authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
  • Provide two letters of reference.
  • A document (email, note, or reply) from the university to certify applications to the university or Mandarin Centre.
  • Provide one photo (passport size).

The scholarship from MOFA Taiwan will cover

  • A monthly stipend is available for degree programmes.
  • One-year scholarship for the Mandarin course language course.
  • Direct round-trip Economic class ticket.
