MBABANE– Takie Ndou “owns” Tive Temhlaba during a live recording!

One could have easily assumed that South African Gospel artist Takie Ndou owned the song of Siphiwo Ndoni Ndlangamandla’s hit track Tive Temhlaba as he performed it brilliantly during his live recording that was held at the Carnival City Big Top Arena on Saturday.

The SA start gave a thrilling performance to a packed venue and featured Ndoni as they recorded the song together. The recording, dubbed The Glory Live Recording was presented by Hope Arise Records.

When reached for comment, Ndoni shared with this publication that Ndou asked him to feature in the recording. He said, “I was so honoured and grateful for such an amazing invitation. I know for sure that this is one of the biggest stages I’ve ministered at. And I so much thank God for this one.”

When asked how the recording went in general, Ndoni said, “It went very well; we only recorded one song together titled Tive Temhlaba. It was a great experience, and first of its kind for me, I learned a lot from the production.”

Ndoni further shared that as he was heading out of his dressing room, he ran into legendary gospel icon Bishop Benjamin Dube, and they shared a little moment together and took pictures.

Ndoni met Takie in 2018, but they formally met in 2021 when they ministered together at the Mbabane Alliance Spiritual Upliftment concert. They kept in touch, and he invited him to his Zion Experience concert in 2022.

Takie Ndou, born Aubrey Takalani, is an anointed songwriter, psalmist, music producer, and worship leader. His hit song, Babe Ngisite, released in 2018, is still a firm favourite in Gospel music. His album Great Revival, released in 2021, scored him six nods under the categories of Best Gospel Producer Album, Best Gospel Album, Best Engineer, and Best Gospel Artist. He has bagged six Crown Gospel nominations and has been in the music industry for over a decade.

Ndoni released his latest project, titled Waze Wetsembeka, in December. The Gospel artist shared with this publication that the song is a praise song from his heart to Jehovah because of His faithfulness towards us. It was recorded live at the second annual Mount Zion Experience that was held at the Manzini Metropolitan Evangelical Church auditorium on October 7 last year.
