MBABANE – If you are talented and you are from the Nkilongo constituency read this.
Minister Thambo Gina and Mzwakhe Myeni, joined by Prophet Major V, will host a first-ever talent search audition show on July 1, 2023, at Matata City Centre. The show will start at 9:30 am until 5 pm.
According to Mzwakhe Myeni, Director of Ezomoya Communications, the talent search is established by Ezomoya and its partners to empower the youth of Nkilongo and Lubilini
”It is a plan that I wish can be shared with other constituencies, but for now we began at Nkilongo and Lubilini for the mere fact that I am from Nkilongo. I find it pivotal for this programme to begin at home. I urge all Nkilongo and Lubiluni young people to partake in the exercise that will be held in Matata and I appeal for support from all EmaSwati and members of Parliament to partner with Ezomoya Communications as we want to revive talent and arts in our country’’.
According to an advert for the show, the event does not require any educational background and has no age restrictions, but clearly states that contestants must strictly come from Nkilongo and Lubilini constituencies. The categories are music, poetry, culture and dance.
Myeni stated that about eight schools will be contesting and the winner will walk away with E5 000, 15 local churches and the winner will get E3000 and individuals will walk away with the other prizes and recording deals.
As stated in the advert, Minister Dr Thambo Gina will be a Guest Speaker, and Major V. Performances from local artists such as the likes of Mzwakhe Myeni, Shiba and Travellers, Bishop Maculuve, and Mrs Maculuve just to mention a few. ‘
’We believe that for our constituencies to develop, we need to nurture the basic needs of our young people, especially talents, skills, and arts that have been neglected for a long time’’, concluded Myeni.
