MBABANE – If you believe you have a special talent in singing, standup comedy, and poetry, read this.
There is a new talent search show courtesy of Smallz the comedian.
According to Smallz Manager, Nhlanhla Ngwenya, Talent Wednesday’s is a concept that will be used to showcase at least three artists per week every Wednesday.
“Per month, we hope to unearth at least 12 artists” he said
Ngwenya further revealed that this initiative is aimed at encouraging and boosting engagement for upcoming artists in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
“The show will also cultivate confidence for the artists and it is a way of showing appreciation to local talent,” he said.
“With this initiative, we hope to bring up undiscovered talent. This is just a pilot phase, which is aimed at unearthing at least three artists per week every Wednesday. We hope to unveil at least 12 artists per month.
We are very much excited about the concept and we wish to encourage artists to make use of it as it will yield more positive results for their craft,” he said.
He disclosed that entries will include standup comedy, Poetry, Music, and Dancing.
“Artists are encouraged to send their 45-60 seconds videos on the comments section of the call-out poster, to stand a chance to be featured on Talent Wednesdays,” he said.
He said the selection criteria will be based on the video with a demonstration of pure talent, a video with more reaction, and also artists are encouraged to send video content that is on high resolution. He stated that entries will open every week from Thursday until Tuesday at 12 noon and winning artists will then be announced.
