TAMBANKULU CALLIES TO CELEBRATE RELEGATION SURVIVAL

MBABANE – Tambankulu Callies will celebrate their relegation survival in the MTN National First Division League.

The club Director Sithembiso ‘Ngudze’ Mamba decided to throw a thanksgiving party in gratitude to all those who have played a significant role in the club’s National First Division League relegation survival.

The event is set to take place at Ekhaya Lifestyle Executive Lounge (Mpaka) on Saturday (May 25th, 2024) at 11am.
According to a press statement released by the club, the event is meant to appreciate the management, stakeholders and the players who commitment to help the club survive axe.

“This has not been an easy season for us as Tambankulu Callies Football Club but with the support of the management and stakeholders as well as the dedication of the players, the team was able to dodge relegation.” reads part of the press statement.

The club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sifiso Mamba echoed the President words as he said the event is meant to appreciate all the management, players and the fans for guiding the team into maintaining their NFD status.

“We started the season with a squad built from scratch considering that we lost a number of key players after we were relegated from the MTN Premier League. So, this is a way to show appreciation to the players’ commitment, management and the fans for the unwavering support.” Mamba said.

The Lubombo based side finished 10th in the NFD log standing. They played 26 games in total, recording 10 wins, four draws and 12 loses in the recently ended NFD 2023/24 season.
