EZULWINI– National Emergency Response Council on HIV (NERCHA) National Executive Director Khanya Mabuza has praised His Majesty King Mswati III’s Speech from the Throne.
He was speaking during the currently ongoing NERCHA quarterly media forum at Happy Valley hotel.
Mabuza said they were thankful as an organisation for the E2.7 billion money was allocated to them in this year’s budget speech. He said this meant their goal for ending HIV as a public health threat by 2030.
“ The King was spot on and once the head of state raises issues like this, you should know it is serious. We need to align ourselves with the King’s vision and goals for the health department in the country,” he said.
He also spoke about the issue of discrimination, which has led to people not opening up or seeking treatment for their HIV status.
Worth noting, during the 5th session of the 11th parliament opening in February he touched on emaSwati deserving quality health.
