MBABANE – Are you the next Miss Teen Shiselweni?
The Shiselweni region is currently on the lookout for the next Miss Teen Shiselweni. The announcement was made on their official Facebook page on Friday.
The theme this year is #IntelligentlyBeautiful. #MissTeenShiselweni24
When reached for comment, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Shiselweni Miss Teen Pageant, Khetsiwe Mabuza, shared with this publication that they are currently in the process of recruiting the contestants, which is scheduled to close on the 11th of February.
Mabuza also shared that previously they only hosted Miss Teen Nhlangano, but this year they were looking into expanding and reaching the whole of the Shiselweni region.
She went on to share, “The first competition was in 2019, and the plan was that it should be annually; unfortunately, we had to skip other years due to COVID-19, and we made a comeback last year,” said the PRO.
The requirements to join the beauty pageant as a contestant are:
- Swati girl.
- 14-18 years.
- Residing in the Shiselweni region.
- Attending high school.
- Provide two full-body pictures (no filters, high quality).
- Provide two head-to-shoulder pictures (no filters, high quality).
- Submit a short video (30–60 seconds) describing yourself and why you are joining Miss Teen Shiselweni.
- E70 registration fee paid via MoMo retail code “160604”
