MBABANE – Government, through the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) and the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) yesterday hosted a capacity-building workshop for IT Professionals at the RSTP Advanced School of Information Technology (IT).
The participants were drawn from the banking, telecommunications, revenue services and critical infrastructure sectors. They were capacitated both theoretically and practically on how to keep organisations’ sensitive data and systems safe from malicious hacking.
They were also capacitated on how to defend expanding security perimeter, keep vulnerabilities patched and to swiftly respond to and recover from cyber security incidences. This is part of the ongoing Eswatini Cybersecurity Awareness Month under the themes; #Tiphephise#BeCyberSmart which is a Government led Multistakeholder initiative under the Ministry of ICT, aimed at promoting issues of online safety in the country.
