MBABANE – The Gracious Givers Foundation, a saviour to most girls through the walk of the underprivileged.

This walk was held on the 29th of October 2022 from Olympafrica Sports and Development Centre to Gables, Ezulwini. The event was to help raise awareness about girls’ monthly periods and help donate toiletries to the impoverished adolescents. The founder of the foundation, Khanyisile Simelane stated that the event was a huge success as a number of girls from different schools that were invited attended. The invited institutions include; Elangeni High, St Mary’s Primary and High School and Lobamba National.

Almost hundreds of girls that were part of the walk were supplied with sanitary pads. According to Simelane, this event was made possible by the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation which is the sponsor of the foundation. The Royal Eswatini Police Service played a huge role by accompanying those who took part in the walk, making sure they are safe all the way.

“This event is new and I am planning on making it a yearly thing to commemorate the menstrual cycle hygiene day which is held on the 28th of May every year” commented Simelane.

She warmly passes her gratitude to Eswatini Post and Telecommunications and their donations which made a lot of difference to the girls’ lives. Not only to the EPTC, but all the principals from the schools, the Olympafrica Sports and Development Centre for giving them the venue and the team that worked tirelessly to lend a hand.
