LOBAMBA – The Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development has been hailed as a Ministry that is free of corruption.
The Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini with the Ministry Headquarters’ staff.
The Ministry was hailed by Timphisini Member of Parliament (MP) Thulani Nsingwane, who said many Government Ministries have been fingered to have been corrupt, but the same thing could not be said about the Tinkhundla Ministry.
This was during the 2023/24 annual performance debate of the Ministry of Tinkhundla Administration and Development, which took place in the House of Assembly.
Timphisini Member of Parliament Thulani Nsingwane.
The Timphisini MP expressed hope that the Ministry would not allow activities he described as corrupt, that usually took place within constituencies. He said some workers within the constituency centres had a tendency of doing as they pleased.
“Such workers have a bad attitude and they look down upon MPs, telling them that they would not be dictated to by people who are in office for five years only,” Nsingwane said. The MP further said it was not only the MPs who were looked down upon by these people.
“They have the guts of looking down upon chiefs, who are very important people who form pillars of the country’s peace and stability. Chiefs represent the King in chiefdoms and such people have to be respected. I would understand if they look down upon other people, MPs included, but looking down upon chiefs is something else,” Nsingwane said.
