Ezulwini– Standing ovation!

Community members from Lobamba have come out to applaud their Inkhundla Centre for being efficient and convenient.

The centre provides all the services one would seek to at the Ministry of Home Affairs. This was courtesy of the mop up exercise by the ministry to make sure every service is decentralised.

During a random visit to the centre, a number of the community members interviewed on the spot said the service centre was one of the best ideas to come from the government as they no longer needed to travel long distances to access basic services.

The community members further commended the good service they received from the officers stationed at the Lobamba Inkhundla.

Melusi Mkhonta said the place was always a hive of activity.

“We have almost all the services needed here; the busiest ones are the passport and master’s offices. This centre has saved a number of people especially the elderly from travelling long distances,” said Mkhonta.

His sentiments were echoed by another community member, Simolesihle Matsebula, who later revealed that he got is identity documents processed at the centre and all it took was a couple of minutes.

“I think the dynamics have changed, the centre here is full of love and warmth courtesy of the staff, and I would rather not get my documents than receive horrible treatment for a service. Now this centre provides everything good service and efficacy, just imagine,” he said.

In addition to that, he highlighted that a lot of effort went into building the structures and they were thankful and indebted to the government.

“As constituents, we are happy and very proud with the effort they put in the decentralisation programme,” he said.

Lobamba Indvunayenkhundla Mabhadane Bhembe said even though some of their offices were not providing the required services they were happy with the progress and reception from the constituents.

“The centre is here to change lives and bring about the idea of efficient services and we are happy we are doing just that,” he said.
