MBABANE: Good news for students who want to study in Turkey, which will also include a year of studying the Turkish language, among other things.
It is worth mentioning that age also plays a part, as the minimum age of applicants is 21 years with the maximum being 35 years, depending on the programme one is applying for. Also, the application will only be done online.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Security, issued a notice via the official page today to inform emaSwati about the opportunity to study in Turkey with its terms and conditions.
The ministry announced that the scholarships to study in that country are now available for students who are interested in studying towards Undergraduate, Masters, and PhD degrees in Turkey.
For one to qualify to apply for the scholarship, according to the principal secretary of the ministry, Mndawe, they must meet these criteria;
- Undergraduate programmes: applicants should be under the age of 21.
- Masters’ programme applicants should be under the age of 30 years old.
- PhD programme applicants should be under the age of 35.
- Research scholarship applicants should be under the age of 50.
The scholarship covers the following:
- University and department placement.
- Monthly stipend of 3,500 TL; for Masters students, 5000 TL; and for PhD students, 6500 TL.
- Tuition fee.
- Turkish language course for one year.
- Health insurance.
- Once-off flight ticket (at the beginning of education and when graduating.)
