MBABANE– “The magic happens in execution.”
The above popular adage by The Becomer has come to life by the swift and cognisant movement between Eswatini and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Investors from EMI Gate Holding by implementing plans they made in Abu Dhabi about two weeks ago.
Last night, His Majesty King Mswati III met EMI Gate Holdings Founder and President Fatima Al Kaabi at Lozitha Palace following investment talks held in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates a fortnight ago. EMI Gate Holdings focuses on tourism and food security among other things.
This follows a meeting Al Kaabi and her delegate met with Minister of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Princess Sikhanyiso and Deputy Prime Minister Themba Masuku.
The Minister of ICT said information and technology were the important facets for developing countries like Eswatini, especially for the developing electronic systems. She said this during the meeting with the UAE investors.
“Another unexploited area in the country is data collection. We do not have much space in it and we do not have enough satellite in the sky so we can collect our own data.
“Most of our innovations in Africa have excelled and have been in the top 10. The facilities His Majesty has established here have base without a space agency meaning we cannot store data,” said the Princess.
In the meantime, Al Kaabi, the Founder and President of EMI Gate Holdings, said Eswatini would see the fruits of a partnership with them in five years.
“Only the good will come out from our relationship,” she said.
