MBABANE – A dream comes true for Waffles!

Uncle Waffles has set yet another record as the first Amapiano act to perform at The Brooklyn Mirage in New York in the United States of America (USA).

She will perform on August 18. The show, dubbed ‘We Love Waffles,’ will feature South African artists as well, who include Andre Power, Bambii, Kelvin Momo, 2WO Bunnies, and Oscar Mbo.

Waffles posted about her upcoming show on her Instagram page, which by the time of compiling this article had 24 286 likes. She wrote, “New York I’m back and taking another big step! Being only the second act from Africa and the first Amapiano act of many to headline this venue is a dream for me, and we are bringing it to life. Let’s kiss on August 18, 2024. Be prepared for a show.”

Tickets to the show will go live tomorrow.

She went on to reveal on Thursday that she will also be hosting dance auditions, which were held on Saturday at Ripley Grier Studios, 520 8th Ave, in New York, Room 17X.

Born Lungelihle Zwane (24) in January, also auditioned for dancers in London, United Kingdom, for her show dubbed ‘We Love Waffles London,’ which was held on January 20. The auditions were held at Husky Studios, 29A Amelia S (off Walworth Road) in London.

The world got to know about DJ after Drake shared a photo of her and sent a shout-out to her. He did that twice. He first joined her on Instagram Live and called her a top DJ. Waffles tweeted that she was super excited and screamed for a good 10 minutes.

Last year May, she closed Mbabane when she had her show at the Albert Millin Pop Sunday, fresh from performing at the global festival Coachella and touring the US and Europe. She has become a global brand, playing for European soccer stars and touring global stages, killing it on the decks.
