MBABANE – Uncle Waffles ate her first, red carpet appearance yesterday.
This was during the BET awards, which according to Billboard, the award ceremony took place in Los Angeles yesterday and local stars who were nominated strutted the red carpet in their lush outfits.
The Tanzania hitmaker looked gorgeous in a silver dress that hugged her slim waist. While Uncle Waffles always loves to flaunt her beautiful skin in revealing clothes, she covered up and left some things to the imagination this time.
The stunner played it safe with her makeup and hairstyle to show off her beautiful facial features.
Even though she lost to Nigerian star, Burna Boy Waffles mentioned that she was happy and thankful for support.
“Hey guys, I know we did not take the award home but I’m happy and thankful to each and everyone of you. Thank you for your support,” said the Amapiano DJ.
The Swati born DJ was nominated for the Best International Act at the 2023 edition of the Black Entertainment Awards, BET.
Other nominees included Burna Boy, Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, and Tiakola
South African rapper K.O and DJ Uncle Waffles, and Pabi Cooper have been nominated for Best International Act at the BET Awards 2023.
They will go up against each other and African superstars Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Libianc
BET announced the nominees on Wednesday, with Drake and GloRilla leading the international nominations, counting seven and six nominations, respectively, while Burna Boy heads Africa with four nominations, alongside Tems following closely with three.
