MBABANE- Postponed!
It looks like outgoing University of Eswatini (UNESWA) students will have to wait longer before they are clad in their black graduation.
Today, a memo by UNESWA Registrar Dr Salebona Simelane revealed that the university was postponing the graduation ceremony which was slated for this coming Saturday, October 1, at the Kwaluseni Campus.
“It is advised that due to unseen circumstances, the graduation ceremony has been postponed from Saturday October 8, 2022 to a future date to be announced. The inconvenience caused is regretted,” read the memo.
Simelane could not be reached telephonically when sought for comment.
However, he confirmed the postponement through a letter that was directed to guardians of graduates, notifying them of the postponement.
“Esteemed graduands, parents and guardians, invited guests and the Eswatini nation is informed that due to unforeseen circumstances, the 40th graduation ceremony of the University of Eswatini has been postponed to a date yet to be announced.
“Invited guests are requested to keep the invitation cards they had received for use on the date yet to be announced,” said Simelane.
Worth noticing is that about a month ago, the university announced that the graduation would be slated for October 8, 2022.
