MBABANE-The US Embassy Congratulated Ncobile Mukasa for being awarded the 2023 Fulbright Scholarship to study her Masters in Psychology at TheNewSchool , a university in New York City.
According to the Embassy, Ncobile holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eswatini Medical Christian University. Over the past three years, she was an HIV Prevention Officer with the Insika ya Kusasa project, an initiative that aims to prevent new HIV infections and decrease vulnerability among Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC), adolescent girls, and young women in Eswatini.
Ncobile’s greatest passion is raising awareness about mental health and ensuring equitable access to mental healthcare services, as well as promoting proper inclusion within the psychology sector.
It is said upon completing her studies, she is determined to come back to Eswatini to contribute to the ongoing initiative of ensuring that emaSwati possess accurate knowledge about mental health, know where to access psychological services, and recognize the importance of mental well-being.
