USA ESWATINI RECOGNISES SIX PROFESSIONAL WOMEN

MBABANE – U.S. Chargé d’ Affaires Caitlin Piper hosted a reception where leaders from across Eswatini were brought together to celebrate the accomplishments of six women, who were recognised in the Women’s History Month 2024 social media campaign.

The six women include Nomzamo Dlamini, Sindisiwe Simelane, Fish Skaggel, Thandi Nxumalo, Bongekile Msibi, and Dudu Dlamini. The event recognised the achievements of women in various fields and emphasised the importance of gender equality and women’s empowerment.

The Chargé d’ Affaires of the United States to Eswatini, Caitlin Piper, said that celebrating the achievements of these extraordinary women was not only a way to honor their individual accomplishments, but also a way to recognise the collective strength, resilience, and boundless potential of women around the world.

As part of the commemoration of Women’s History Month, CDA Piper called on everyone to recommit to advancing gender equality, empowering women, and building a more inclusive and just society.

She encouraged the women leaders in attendance to use their platforms to create a positive impact by mentoring and sharing their experiences with others. “You have the ability to be a catalyst for change, inspiring future generations to create a more equitable society,” she said. Piper emphasised the importance of women leaders working together to build a better future for all.

Piper, expressed her gratitude to all those who attended the event and honored the achievements of women in the community. She called for continued advocacy and collaboration to further women’s empowerment, emphasising the importance of collective action in creating a more just and equitable society.
