Inkhosikati Make LaMbikiza was the guest speaker at the event. Speaking during the event, she told the over 224 students that were graduating that they should make use of the funds that were made available by Government in the country to start businesses and employ other people. She said the graduates were about to join the over 1 000 members of the EMCU alumni, who have been produced by the institution over the years.

She described the students as the epitome of success through survival. She said not many people were privileged to receive professional training through Christian teachings. She congratulated them for this achievement.

She stated that she still harboured fond memories of the event in 2012, when she was at the Republic of Korea (South Korea) to garner support from Korean donors to help in establishing a medical school in the Kingdom. She thanked the Koreans for showing support to Emaswati over the years, as they worked together to establish the University.

Inkhosikati said Emaswati were indebted to the Africa Continent Mission, led by Pastor Dr Kim for finding it worthy to start the University in 2013 in the country. She heaved a sigh of relief that the medical school within the EMCU was finally going to be operational. She thanked God for that.

Inkhosikati likened Dr Kim to the likes of Dr Samuel Hynd and other missionaries for serving Emaswati.

She also thanked the Government of South Korea for welcoming His Majesty King Mswati III and his delegation to be part of the recently-concluded Korea-Africa Summit. Speaking during the event, Dr Kim also congratulated the students for reaching such a milestone. He was also elated by the fact that the medical school within the university was going to be operational. He said the first batch of students to be admitted by this school would be 20. He promised that the medical school would be a game-changer in the SADC region.
