MBABANE – Veteran singer Velemseni is starting the festive season with a new concept for emaSwati.
Born Velemseni Ndzimandze, the award winning star is bringing ‘Live on the Lawn’ whereby a small stage will be set on grass and performances on Afro House sessions will be delivered at the Albert Millin this Sunday.
Ndzimandze said the concept was inspired by sessions they had as artists when they came together for jam sessions.
“It is more of a lifestyle mini concept, where artists come together and set up stage and perform. A lot of people cannot go and see veteran artists perform so this is their chance to see their live performances at an affordable fee.
The musician further mentioned that entrance is only E50 as they were trying to make it accessible for everyone.
“The show is not sponsored and I will perform with three artists on the day including Bholoja, Zweli Gule and Parcel.
“My vision is to develop this into a travelling show but right now we will base it in Mbabane until it gains traction,” said Ndzimandze.
Ndzimandze further mentioned that the event was family friendly and children below the age of 12 years did not have to pay.
