…chances of snowfall

MBABANE – “Take all the necessary precautions.”
This was the warning by the Department of Meteorological Services under the Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Affairs today. The department released a statement today warning the public that there will be very cold weather on Sunday, July 9.
“A cold front is expected to pass over the country on Sunday 9th July 2023 in the afternoon to evening. It is likely to bring very cold temperatures and rain showers overnight, going to Monday the 10th of July, especially over the Highveld, where there is a chance of light snowfall at places,” read the statement.
“Overnight temperatures are expected to be at Sub-Zero over some places from 10th to 11th July 2023. Daytime temperatures are also expected to drop significantly on Monday 10th and Tuesday the 11th of July 2023, staying below 10 degrees Celsius in the Highveld on Monday 10 July. However, they are expected to gadually improve from Wednesday 12th July,” continued the statement.
“The nation is therefore advised to take all the necessary precautions,” urged the Eswatini Meteorological Services through their public statement.
